This glossary is a work in progress to document terms and concepts frequently discussed on the morning radio program.

Charles Richardson - former co-host who left the show last summer.

Staff writer - Steve Scroggins is the wacky local weirdo who writes parodies for the morning show.  But he's been rather erratic at doing that.  Detox?

Newspaper welfare - one of only a few government programs supported by KennyB. Kenny thinks that citizens should be provided with newspapers free of charge. Until then, Kenny bums and borrows to get his news.

That Smell - Theme song performed by Lynyrd Skynyrd to introduce news about the landfill, water & sewerage, Riverwood or other smelly local issues.

Don't Hang Up - theme bite played to remind contest-winning callers to hold the line for CT.

Little Rascals - reference to Macon city council (15 members). Theme music used to introduce city council news. See photo on the Write Your Own Macon News Story page.

Skip's Insults - reference to the Skip Carey's radio program prior to each Atlanta Braves game. Skip can be short and some might say rude to callers regarding their questions.

Ill-Gotten Gains Report - a report on the latest winning Georgia lottery numbers

Prisoner of Combat - U.S. soldiers captured in hostilities our leaders won't declare a War. This might also refer to the caller who gets skewered verbally and, due to the constraints of time, is forced to wait through a news break in order to rebut previous points or make his/her point. Fortunately, Kenny's a skilled host who brings everyone back up to speed.

Delapidated - subjective term used by county commissioner Joe Underdog Allen to describe a dwelling provided by Bibb county and occupied by a county employee. Facts are sketchy. Click here to view photo #1 of the dwelling at Lake Tobosofkee. Click here to view Photo#2. The full truth is elusive but we can be confident that KennyB and Charles will find it.

Unification - a mythical & theoretical concept similar to subatomic particles or light-speed travel. We like to talk and write about them a lot but don't know how to do them or use them or what would happen if we could.

Consolidation - obsolete word for the mythical concept of unification. It's applying "E Pluribus Unum" to the local level to join Macon and Bibb County governments. It makes too much sense to ignore, but we keep forgetting that the laws of logic don't apply in Macon politics.

Presumed Innocent until proven guilty - this is often confused with a legal precept to protect individuals from government power. In practice, it's the standard Charles applies to defend or deny all the corrupt and immoral behaviors of the Clinton administration.

Deep Boom-Boom - (see also Deep Do & Deep CaCa) - a slang term for "trouble." From time to time, a listener wwould scold Charles for his usage of this term. You might say that from time to time, it gets him in deep #%^$.

Underdog - a reference to Bibb county commissioner, Joe Allen.

Vicious-dog - potential encounter if visiting the home of former Bibb county commission chairman, Larry Justice.

Hit The Road Jack - Theme song (performed by Ray Charles) for Mayor Jack Ellis.

On the Road Again - theme song (performed by Willie Nelson) for Roads issues.

It's Only Rock & Roll - Theme song (performed by the Rolling Stones) for frequent caller and designated libertarian, Rock & Roll Dave.

Hat's Off to Larry - Theme song for former Bibb County commission chairman Larry Justice.

Lollypop - theme song used to introduce news on Monica Lewinsky or other Clinton bimbos.

C.T. - imaginary phone screener for the morning radio show. Kenny & Jami both talk as if there's another person in the studio but in reality, C.T. is only one of Kenny's alternate personalities. Most of the others do not manifest themselves on the air. Most callers are real; only a few are Kenny's alter-egos. C.T. is also referred to as the "Total Package."

Sarah - C.T.'s imaginary wife of 14 imaginary years

May 21st - C.T.'s imaginary wedding anniverary with his imaginary wife Sarah

Simone - previous alter-ego and imaginary phone screener who allegedly moved to New York. C'est la vie, non?

The Local Slave Camp - a reference to the Bibb County Public Works department run by the "slavemaster," Mr. Larry Brown (now retired). This description was provided by Macon city councilman, Charles Dudley.

Dixie - new theme song for the Public Works department, ---er, local slave camp.

Row Masstuh - Reference to the vehicle model driven by Macon city councilman, Dick Dickey (pronounced "dik dikuh"). "That's a Buick Row masstuh, juss so y'know."

Palace on Mulberry - the palacial facility occupied by the Bibb County Board of Education located on---you guessed it---Mulberry Street. Obsolete phrase no longer used since passage of a special bond referendum to refurbish Bibb schools.

Fortunate to do so - Senator John McCain (R, AZ) says that we central Georgians are fortunate to be able to listen to the morning show on AM940.  Kenny may do some remote broadcasts from the Lincoln bedroom when Sen. McCain is elected president.

Johnny Ikason (pronounced "Ike-a-sun") - a reference to Georgia District 6 US Representative Johnny Isakson, a.k.a. that guy who took Newt Gingrich's seat in the House.

Reckeration Department - the Parks and Recreation Department of Bibb County as pronounced by city councilman, Ed Defore. Its new name may become the "Parks, Arts & Leisure Department." Here are the Top Ten Proposed New Names for the department.

Top Ten Proposed New Names for the Bibb County Parks & Recreation Department

As you can see from the above list, there are several factions suggesting the names including the Keep-It-Simple faction and the Expand-The-Mission faction. The other faction doesn't want to change the mission, they just want a fancier name. It's difficult to predict which faction will prevail. Stay tuned. --steve scroggins
